Frog of the Month

May 2007 Frog

Seen on a trip with some Froggers to the Mojave.

The following frogs are from Frog Day 2001

D. amazonicus has a vivid "Y" pattern than makes in some confusable with D. ventrimaculatus, the vividness of their color as well as other things make them distinguishable.

The throat marking is a the best way to identify D. amazonicus.

The vividness and mix of colors is much greater than D. ventrimaculatus... they are also bolder and will bully vents when housed together.
